PIPE BLOCKING DEVICE

Quick Lock Devices  can insulate a pipe in minutes, regardless of its diameter, with a single person without the use of tools,  surpassing the conventional use of rackets, blind flanges and Figure 8.

To properly assess the system, the alternative methods of closing and blocking must be understood initially.

The most used methods are the “figure 8” and the “racket” which consist of a metal plate mounted manually between two flanges.

Traditional systems have significant disadvantages:

• Require intensive labor

• They involve risks in dismantling the screws, separating the pipes, changing the position of the plate and replacing the gaskets.

• They require the piping to remain open to the atmosphere for a long time, requiring the use of handling equipment and thus increasing the risks of pollution and personal injury.

The quick blocking device eliminates these problems and allows the blocking of the pipes in less time, through a simple, safe operation. They provide increased productivity, reduced operating costs and reduced environmental risks as product leakage is minimal and pollution is virtually zero.

- Considerably reduce maintenance downtime.

- Offer a degree of security and performance far superior to traditional blocking methods.

- Can be operated by one person in a few minutes without the need for special tools.
