Until  products  effective for preserving in-line shutoff valves were  developed, the only solution for valve maintenance was to remove it from the service line (involving cost  with the production stop,  with the disposal of the fluid and with the demobilization) and repair them or acquire new ones.

Sometimes some valves were so locked that about  2 to 3 professionals had to use a long lever to operate them, causing injuries to workers.

Proper valve maintenance/sealing can easily be achieved while still in-line and under pressure through the use of actuated or manual injection pumps.
